James Calloway Reed was the person people called when a cabinet needed fixing, a bicycle chain had come loose or a complicated afternoon simply needed a little patience. A careful woodworker, James believed that good things were built slowly and meant to last.
He shared his skills freely, teaching neighborhood children to use simple tools and showing younger friends how to start again when a project went wrong. His family will remember his easy laughter, his love of a good story and the quiet pride he took in helping others.
Friends and neighbors are invited to share memories of James and the many everyday ways he made life better.
